About the P1835R Model
The P1835R is a customized product originally developed for specific client needs in 2023. After conducting our standard tests, we released this product with its stated discharge rating.
During our internal testing, we observed that when the bare NCR18650GA cell was discharged at 15A, its maximum surface temperature exceeded 72°C (see Graph 2). However, with our designed protection circuit (PCM) , the protected P1835R (NCR18650GA + Keeppower PCM) discharged at 15A for several minutes, with a maximum temperature of approximately 59°C due to the protection activating (see Graph 4). Based on this data, we believed the P1835R was capable of 15A discharge.

What We Have Learned
That said, we now recognize that this product was designed for specific applications only. Before we received direct feedback from end users, we had not fully considered how the battery would perform under certain sustained high-discharge conditions.
One customer shared a very valuable perspective: when using the P1835R in a high-drain device, the runtime at high load was very short compared to our P1831R, making the product feel impractical for their use case. We took this concern very seriously. Our sales and technical teams reviewed the feedback immediately and decided to remove the product from sale.
A Design Limitation We Must Acknowledge
We also realize now that we should have added a clear note to end users: discharging at 15A continuously, especially at elevated temperatures, will affect the cycle life of the battery. This was an omission on our part.
Our Corrective Actions
Fortunately, this product was only supplied to a small number of customers (we believe only two direct clients have ordered this model). After follow-up discussions with those clients about real-world performance, and after internal reviews with our technical team, Keeppower has decided to recall this product immediately.

Our Commitment Going Forward
Going forward, we will pay closer attention to product labeling and strive for even greater accuracy in the design of new products.
As a battery manufacturer with 18 years of deep roots in this industry, we must acknowledge that some rigid mechanisms in our processes and R&D may occasionally lead to mistakes. However, we strongly believe that admitting those mistakes, correcting them in a timely manner, and consistently listening to our customers is what truly matters.
